Armaan Bhatia and Harsh Mehta Triumph in Final: Indian Duo Claims Maiden PWR DUPR India Masters PRO Men's Doubles Title

Armaan Bhatia and Harsh Mehta capped off the PWR DUPR India Masters with a stellar performance, defeating Roman Estareja and Mitchell Hargreaves to secure the PRO Men's Doubles Title. The final, held on Sunday, October 27, at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association Stadium in New Delhi, marked a significant achievement for the Indian pair, as it was their first title in this category.

In an impressive display of skill, Armaan, who earlier clinched titles in men's singles and mixed doubles, showcased his prowess right from the start. The match opened with a brilliant crosscourt backhand from Armaan, leading the Indian duo to score first. Estareja and Hargreaves only managed to respond with their initial point when one of Hargreaves' shots eluded Armaan, bringing the score to 3-1.

The Indians dominated the first game, wrapping it up at 11-3. Despite the significant margin, Estareja and Hargreaves put up a commendable fight, keeping the match competitive throughout.

As the second game commenced, an unforced error from Hargreaves gifted the Indians another point. The score quickly shifted to 4-1 in favor of Bhatia and Mehta after another point came from a netted shot by Harsh. The Indian duo continued their momentum, ultimately cruising to a convincing 11-2 victory in the second game to claim the men's doubles title.

Earlier in the tournament, Armaan and Harsh had shown remarkable form, easily advancing through the opening rounds. They first defeated compatriots Harsh Shah and Dhiren Patel with a score of 15-5, followed by another identical victory against Kenta Miyoshi and Tom Evans. The quarterfinals presented a tougher challenge against Leander Lazaro and Willy Chung, but the duo persevered, winning the tie 11-10, 4-11, 11-6.

In the semifinals, they faced the seventh-seeded pair of Jason Taylor and Jai Grewal, winning decisively with scores of 11-3 and 11-9 to secure their place in the final.

On the other side of the draw, Estareja and Hargreaves had a strong showing as well. They began their journey with a dominant 15-0 victory over Shivraj Bhati and Vivaan Patel, followed by a 15-1 win against Ravi Ranjan and Diwakar Agarwal. They faced a tougher match in the quarterfinals against Divyanshu Katari and Ronav Motiani but emerged victorious with scores of 2-11, 11-6, 11-5. In the semifinals, they bested the third-seeded pair of Dusty Boyer and Naveen Beasley, winning 11-9 and 11-7 to reach the final showdown.

With this title, Armaan Bhatia not only achieved a remarkable triple crown but also cemented his status as a formidable player in the world of doubles.
